At a time when images are made to be consumed instantly, Luigi Ghirri offers a radically different proposition: to truly take in what we see. His photographs refrain from showcasing spectacle or certainty. Instead, they create a subtle pause between seeing and finding meaning. In that interval, the familiar world becomes unstable and poetic.
Moving through landscapes, signs, windows, postcards, reflections, Ghirri treated photography as a way of questioning how reality is mediated. The works gathered here, drawn from Felicità, show an artist who was acutely aware of image culture long before the present moment. What he offers in return is neither nostalgia nor retreat, but a more attentive, participatory way of seeing.
