Photo London opens its 11th edition from 14 to 17 May, taking place for the first time at Olympia Kensington, the 140-year-old historic venue which recently underwent an extensive renovation by Heatherwick Studio.

One of this year’s strongest focal points is undoubtedly Steven Meisel. Widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in fashion photography, Meisel takes part in Photo London’s Master of Photography programme with a rare selection extending back to his early work in London. Daidō Moriyama’s black-and-white images from the streets of post-war Japan, Sakiko Nomura’s works that disrupt established aesthetic codes, and Alys Tomlinson’s Gli Isolani series are also among the highlights. From Türkiye, figures including Devin Oktar Yalkın, known for his monochrome practice; contemporary photography artist Mert Acar; Lara Sayılgan with her new work Louis Dream; and Ci Demi with the series Something Is Amiss also appear within the fair’s international selection.

Introducing new names each year, the Discovery section stands out once again as one of the fair’s most vibrant areas, this year under the curatorship of Charlotte Jansen. Fulcrum and Gallery Art & Soul from Mumbai, starch from Singapore and London-based The Art Family bring emerging visual narratives from South Asia to the centre, while Warsaw’s Raster Gallery and Galeria Monopol revisit the visual memory of late Soviet-era Poland through Zofia Rydet and Zygmunt Rytka.

This year also marks the first inclusion of film screenings. A special selection will be on view, ranging from works by Wu Chia-Yun and Carolina Baldomá to Krissy Shook’s documentary, as well as films by Alys Tomlinson and Sarah Moon. With independent publishers, collector conversations and talks curated by Thames & Hudson, Photo London expands this year into a more comprehensive platform than in previous editions.

Alongside Photo London 2026, Dover Street Market is presenting a cultural programme shaped around independent publishing, photobook culture, community gatherings and limited-edition productions. Highlights include a book signing and T-shirt launch with Friend Editions, Ewen Spencer and Peter Doyle; a conversation around the limited-edition T-shirt released by Adwoa Aboah and Cou Cou in support of Gurls Talk; signings by Kutt, Alice Mann, Scarlett Carlos Clarke and Jackie Nickerson; Goldie Williams Vericain’s photo zine launch; and a publishing launch by the Matières Fécales team.
